buried under the rocks of lies (episode 6)

me: i promise david (i said and he smilled to me before he wrapped his arms round me)

our exam results were soon out and i scored two a’s and five b’s and the rest were c’s, david was very happy with my result that he took me out and made me feel like i was on top of the world, i now began to prepare to write another exams to gain admission. deride applied for a job at david’s company and she got taken, i did not know why she choose to apply at his company over all other companies, few weeks after she began to work at his company david’s mum sent me to his office at almost the closing time of all staffs, when i got to his office i was greeted by the gate man who knew me well and he told me that david was in his office and i walked straight to his office but before i opened the door i heaved an heavy sign fully knowing that he was unaware of my coming and i wanted to surprise him but as i opened the door, i met the greatest shock of my life, derinde was half naked and she wastring to kiss david who immediately stood up frightened as he saw m and so did derinde.
me: what the f--k is going on here? (i asked beeming with anger)
david: tumi its not what you think (he said but deride smilled)
deride: it is exactly what you think tumi
me; (i was filled with so much anger that i immediately attacked deride) you tramp, harlot, b---h. (i called her so many names as i landed blows on her, i was really busting with anger but david prevented me from hitting her any further as he pulled me back to himself and held me tightly
david: please tumi calm down, she’s not worth all these
me: (i looked at deride with so much anger and hatred) i thought you were my friend, what did i ever do to offend you
deride: david is not yours, he doesn’t belong to you, i love him
me: what! (i exclaimed in anger) is that why you decide to become so loose, b---h
deride: you are the real b---h (she said making the anger in me to rise up) david doesnt like you but he likes me
me: (i couldn’t control myself this time around as i broke out of david’s grip and rushed to her and we began fighting pulling each other at the hair and at the cloth but then david came inbetween us)
david: that’s enough, i don’t tolerate fights in my presence (he said sternly to the both of us) miss deride you are a disgrace to women and for what you have just done, you know that my company cannot take it so you are fired
deride: (her countenance changed and her eyes were filled with tears) no please david, dont fire me, dont send me out of your life
david: will you get out before i call the security
me: (i joined him) get out
deride: you motherfucker
david: get out now, security (he screamed as the two officers came in and forced her out and she walked out of the office shamefully and reluctantly, immediately she was led out david turned to me i guess to try to apologise but i just signed him not to)
me: no!
david: am really sorry tumi
me; please david ( i said to him as i walked out of his office and went straight back to the house with a trouble and confused and betrayed heart, how deride do this to me, she and david the man that i love, she is certainly wicked and i promise that i will make her pack, i locked myself in my room until someone knocked at the door and i knew it was david) i don't want to see you
david: ( from outside the room) please tumi
me: are you deaf i said that i don't want to see you
david: let me explain things are not what they seem to be
me; just leave me alone (i screamed out angrily as i threw a pillow at the door) go away! ( i said as i broke down in tears and i buried my face in a pillow and i weeped)

how could derinde do this to me, i saw her as a friend but i should have already noticed that she liked david and she wanted him for herself but i will not let her have david, no way, i am just so angry but i don’t know why is it because i caught david and deride? or is it because i am jealous? i just don’t understand the anger that i feel

David opened the door with a spare key and he came to me and i was still weeping with my face buried in the pillow
David: please tumininu let me explain what actually happened
me: (i stared at him) why will you and my friend
David: it's not what you think, just let me explain.
me: OK go ahead and explain why i caught you and deride in that position
David: she tried to seduce me, and she got off her cloths and that when you got in, nothing ever happened between us (he looked into my two teary eyes) i can't lie to you, nothing happened between i and your friend, i am not that type of person, am decent but i apologies for the scene you saw.
me: i never really thought that deride will be able to do this, yes i saw that she admired you but she should not have tried that.
David: even if she likes me, i don’t like her back, i only love one (he said and i faced him fully and he stared into my eyes) i only love you tumininu and no one else
me: what! (i exclaimed slightly but still kept staring into his eyes)
David: yes tumi i love you, i fell in love with you since the first day that i met you, and the times we spent together has increased my feeling for you ( i just looked at him stumped and not sure of what to say to me, although i was surprised that David loves me but i was glad anyway) i love you tumi more than a friend
me: i love you too David (i said but his eyes opened out and i was sure that he was surprised but then he smiled)
David: you do? (he asked and i nodded gently)
me: i also love you and that was why i was angry on seeing you and deride
David: that will never happen again that i promise you (he said as he smiled to me and i reciprocated by smiling and he held my hands and looked into my eyes) will you be my more than a friend? will you be my girlfriend? (i was really so happy i my mind, David was an amazing man and i cannot deny that i have fallen deeply in love with him)
me: yes i will (i said with a smile as he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly and i also wrapped my arms round him)
David: i promise to always love you tumininu, to always care for and cherish you
me: i also promise to love you David (i said as he placed a soft kiss on my forehead)

no amount of words could express how i felt that moment, surely i fell in love with David even though my past had made me swore to never love a man but i have given that promise up now, David is different and i love him more than anyone else in the world and i don’t want to ever lose lose him

very soon David’s mum and his sister found out that i and David were now dating, ever since that day that deride was walked out by the security, i haven’t set my eyes on her again, i never saw her again not even in our lesson place i later found out that she had failed her exam but did not bother to even pick her result up, to be truthful i felt sorry for deride but again i also felt hatred that she tried to get David long story cut short, i gained admission into the university of lagos (unilag) to study law as i always wanted to do, my relationship with David increased by each day and h continued to love me, then few months after i clocked the age of nineteen and was almost over with my first year, David called me and told me that his father ad his brother were returning to Nigeria and although he was again angry that Daniel was returning, i pleaded with him not to let that put him down but he should only think of his father, we prepared for their return, and David sent one of his drivers to go and pick them up from the airport and very soon they got to the house, a short man maybe in his late fifties came down from the car before another young man that looked exactly like David came out, everything was just so identical, except for the young man’s hairstyle and clothes, he had this bad boys hair cut on his head, and he dressed like he was going to the club, they both walked into the house and when the man came in i and damilola knelt down and greeted him, he hugged his daughter and looked at me
me: welcome sir! (i said with a smile)
David’s father: my daughter in law how are you, its so good to see you ( although i was surprised that he called me his daughter in law but i smiled)
me: i am fine sir
David’s father: it is really so good to see you, David has told me a lot about you
me: i hope it's not anything bad sir
David’s father: (he laughed)of course not child, at that time David’s twin brother walked in and walked straight into the house without greeting anyone but i swear that i saw him look at me, his sister damilola even tried to greet him but he ignored her and just walked in, i can see that this Daniel is very rude, quite unlike his brother David)
David’s mum: let us all go in (she said breaking the silence as we helped them carry the suitcases up to there rooms, David quickly left after receiving an important call from work, i carried his twin brother suitcase to his room and knocked)
Daniel: (from inside) who’s there (he said with a bold voice)
me: i brought your suitcase ( i said as he came to open the door and i pushed the suitcase to him and turned to leave)
Daniel: you are David’s girlfriend aren’t you
me: (i turned back not expecting him to talk to me) yes i am(i said and he smiled and he stared at me from head to toe and smiled)
Daniel: i see this time around David picked a really beautiful girl, i see why he loves you so much (what is this guy saying, i just hissed and turned and left but i could tell that he stared at me till i got out of his sight, when David returned i told him about what Daniel said and i could tell that he was angry but he sat me down and held my heads and stared deeply into my eyes)
David: tumi please stay far away from Daniel
me: David why should i, i mean the guy is already ignoring everyone
David: but i saw how he looked at you, i can't let him touch you
me: (i laughed) he isn’t going to touch me David, he is already with Natasha right?
David: no! (he said and i became surprised)
me: but you told me that she got pregnant for him
David: yes she did but after i broke up with her, Daniel denied her pregnancy and she was forced to abort and he never bothered to see her again, he never liked Natasha, he only just wanted to get in with her which he did
me: OMG i didn’t know
David: that is why i want you to be careful now that he is around (he said to me) i saw the way he looked at you earlier, i do not want to lose you tumi
me: you will never lose me god forbid
David: tumi i have to protect you from him (you have to go to stay in the hostel)
me: what!
David: yes at least you have to be away from this house, at least for the time that he is here, he will soon leave. (he stared deeply into my eyes) please tumi
me: OK as long as that is what you want then i will do it
David: thank you so much tumi ( he said as he hugged me tightly)

this arrival of Daniel is making things complicated as i can see that David is very scared, i don’t know what Daniel is capable off but i will do as David asked me to do, as long as it will keep away from Daniel.
